The immensely talented Mr Ciaran O'Conner took my 5050 board graphic from 2D Illustrator format and did THIS with it!
Ciaran is piecing together a video to document 5050's 10 year anniversary (which was what my board was for) so this is a sneak peak into how good it's going to be!

This week I've been working on a new graphic for The Boardroom Skatepark in Leicester, working with the 5 colours on the website and around the park to create this colourful block-based logo!

I am very very pleased and proud to say that I was asked to be one of a handful of international designers asked to contribute designs for the Singapore Design Festival!
The show's theme is the 'war on bad design' and we were asked to design propaganda-style posters which will be displayed at a gallery alongside chosen design students work. I did 2 posters, one friendly poster promoting the use of the pen...
...and another against careless clicks and cookie-cutter bad design...
I want to say a HUGE thank you to Yah-Leng Yu @ Foreign Policy Ltd for giving me the opportunity to be involved! For more information on the whole thing then check out singaporedesignfestival.com/events_propaganda
Even better, if you're in or around Singapore then please do go and check the event out and let me know how it was!

More panda fun... This time it's a 2-colour tee graphic for ruby-on-rails supremos New Bamboo!
The tee's in aid of FOWA, the Future Of Web Apps show that NB are attending, so get yourself down to booth 128/130 between October 3rd - 5th to nab yourself a tee for FREE! They are real limited so you have to come down and be super nice to get one :)

My very good friend Klingatron has got a solo show at the Workshop store here in Bristol next month so I did a wee flyer design for him to get the info out there!
You have to come and check out the show, 'Trons work has to be seen to be believed! His stencil work really is just incredible, so get yourselves down to Workshop on Friday October 5th between 6 and 9pm for the opening night, it's going to be a belter!!

Fifty Fifty 10 Years Strong

Absolutely honoured to be able to do this, a board graphic for the legendary store Fifty Fifty right 'ere in Bristol.
Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know they've been going 10 years strong, and myself, Richt, Paris & Sam Barett did a board graphic each to accompany the 5050 x Vans Half-cab shoe, 5050 x New Era Hat, wheels, tee's & more!
I wanted to run with the theme of 'time', as it's such a big thing to be going 10 years but at the start I was well stuck, wanting to do something different to my normal style but unsure what, until the idea of a cuckoo clock struck my wee mindtank.
I didnt think I could pull it off, to be honest with you, as Cuckoo Clocks are so intricate, I didnt think I could match it. Many many hours with the pen tool later and here we are...!

CrazyLabel booth

Being part of the Crazylabel family is obviously super cool as is, but when Andy from CL asked if he could use my 'illy' graphic to use as a window display for his new studio, I was stoked!
I tweaked it abit for him, swapping a few bits for some CrazyLabel love but was super surprised and pleased to learn that he used that graphic to decorate his booth at the Taiwan Toy Festival!!!

Very pleased to show off a lil' something something to you, a logo / identity for fine gentlemen, Mr Scott 'OnePixelSolid' Mackenzie.
Scott's company name is OnePixelSolid so with that in mind I wanted to use a monolithic-style pixel mixed with a bit of cheeky character design!

Fifty Fifty 10 Years Strong

I can't describe how overwhelmed I was when asked by Danny if I'd like to design a skateboard deck for Fifty Fifty's 10 year anniversary in August, to join Richt's & Paris' boards.
Obviously I wanted it to be the best thing I've done and after a long time and a lot of vector love, I finished my 'Cuckoo' board. I personally think it's a very different style for me and I cannot wait to hold the printed thing in my hand.
I don't want to give it all away until it's actually unveiled at the 10 year party along side the Fifty Fifty x Vans shoe, New era hat and tonnes of exclusive clothing! You can have this tiny sneak peak though...

A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who's pre-ordered a JamFactory 'illy' t-shirt, I'm absolutely flattered by the response, your support mean so much!
I'm calling the printers tommorow to put my order in for the t-shirts and hopefully they'll be finished by early next week, so stay peeled for that!
In the meantime you can checkout how the tee's are looking by having a peep at the sample prints that Jonny @ Pixelpuppets did for me! Check them all out on flickr here
If you fancy a tee but haven't pre-ordered one then I'll be getting a few extra in each size for the online store but if they go then I'll b doing a 2nd edition sometime in the near future me thinks!

Realmac Software Niceness

Today saw the frenzied launch of Realmac Softwares' much anticipated RapidWeaver 3.6! Along with that saw the brand new website going live, which I'm very proud to tell y'all I designed (with the Realmac boys taking my design and turning it into the living breathing working site!)
The site comes in 2 different flavours, day & night, depending on what time you visit! Aswell as the website I designed the desktop wallpapers, the .dmg, the welcome screen and the avatars for the forum, so there's plenty for you to feast your eyes on!
I want to wish Realmac the best of luck, there's been a hell of alot of hype surrounding RapidWeaver and I know why, it's an awesome bit of software!
Have a surf around here to see the bits I did and check out the Realmac site for everything RapidWeaver!

Hello again! Right then, it's time for me to tell you what's new here at the factory of Jam...
There's so much new work that's been added so you'll have to have a surf around and see what you can find, but let me bring a few things to your attention, if I may!
Dan from Realmac Software created the most amazing 3D version of the JamFactory and I've turned them into desktop wallpapers for you to download! Check out the Downloads section to grab them!
The documentary I've been part of, Apparently I Am Creative, is now done & dusted, the final edit was cut a few days a go and I'm waiting my copy so I can check it out!!
My CMYK skateboards, printed by Pop Cling, had their official launch at the Pop Cling show in Los Angeles last month!!! You can imagine how stoked I am about that!!
Speaking about Pop Cling, I was also super excited to learn that one of my graphics, Squidlet, appeared in the background of the popular US comedy series 'Mad TV'!
Anyways, there's lots and lots of new stuff so check out the whole site for new pieces of work! This news page also has an RSS feed to be sure to subscribe to that for the latest goings on here with me!

Hello world! It's been a little while hasn't it!?
Well this is the reason why it's taken so long to update the site, the whole thing has been completely overhauled & built from scratch!
I'd like to give a huge thanks to Mr Ben Counsell of Realmac Software fame because he's the man that has built the foundations of this new graphical beast! Why haven't I built my own website I hear you cry!? Well, this new site is built using RapidWeaver and since Ben & Dan @ Realmac are the creators of RW, it made sense for me to use my photoshop design skills to design & layout the site whilst Ben worked his CSS magic and built the template!
It was a swap of skills (there's LOTS of exciting RapidWeaver work to add to the portfolio next week) so I want to personally thank Ben for his fantastic efforts, I'm very proud of the new site and I hope you like it too!
I'm going to write a longer post very soon with everything that's new here so stay tuned!
